OFFICE HOURS
Got something you want to say to your good friend The Professor's Assistant? Come on in, don't be shy! Her official hours are daylight hours - girl has to sleep? after all, probably - but if you knock on the door at night she'll generally answer. Please just make sure to leave the in-game date and time in the header of your toplevel!

It isn't your fault. You couldn't have known he would do something like that.

I know, but... hindsight, you know? Now that I know what happened, I just keep thinking about what I could have done. Or tried to do, or... something.

[boy do she]
But I guess there's nothing to be done about it now. [NOT UNTIL WEEK 5 HEEEEEEY]

I guess so, yeah. That's the bi- problem with hindsight.

[There's so much she wants to ask. Will the secrets thing come back? How many people know? Could her world still find out somehow? But she can't ask any of that without acknowledging it, and she can't - ]
Do you...know how any of this time travel works? Jasper being from my future, I mean.

So... different worlds follow different timelines, depending on the choices people make. The Professor's machine can track up or down people's personal timelines within those, once it selects them, and makes a calculation where to pull them from based on the parameters set into it. So it's not necessarily your future, but it is a point further forward in your world's general timeline? Does that make sense? I'm not really... a scientist or anything.

So...that might not happen in my future?

[She doesn't know what exactly that might be, but they have to try and do something. That won't stop Homeworld gems from returning to Earth, she supposes, but...]

That's a good way to think about it, I think.

[Knowing them all, she just sort of assumes it was Yellow's project. She was the most involved in creating more soldiers on Earth, and it's not really Blue's style anyhow.]
I don't know. I thought we were at least all safe now, and we're not.

Well... I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, so I might be totally off-base, but at least now you know about it?
no subject
[Slightly! That's true!]

[ emotional jazzhands re: Knowing Things ]
Sometimes I think you have to take comfort in "better" when "good" isn't an option.
