OFFICE HOURS
Got something you want to say to your good friend The Professor's Assistant? Come on in, don't be shy! Her official hours are daylight hours - girl has to sleep? after all, probably - but if you knock on the door at night she'll generally answer. Please just make sure to leave the in-game date and time in the header of your toplevel!

Honestly? I don't know, but I know he's serious about it.

I doubt he's gonna show up in person, so there'd be no point. [ If he could be lured out by attacking his assistant, on the other hand, she would absolutely be ready to go! She doesn't see any purpose in hiding that. ] That's not why I came here.
[ There's a solid ten seconds before she clarifies, in even the slightest way, why she did come here. ]
How much information do you have on us?
no subject
Uh... a decent amount. The Professor really did his homew- [ wait, this isnt a human ] research. Why?

[ Despite the confirmation that Angel knows, probably, more than their profiles have to say, there's still a small current of unease that runs through her upon saying the name aloud. She doesn't let it show. She thinks about her rage and lets its heat overwhelm any stray sense of vulnerability. ]
I want to know what's wrong with her.

Angel frowns. ]
... How do you mean?

She isn't pretending to be human anymore. At first, I thought it was just that she couldn't — that whatever makes us weak in this place disabled her shapeshifting and her little disguise — so she gave up the act. But even though she looks right, she's acting completely cracked! She's talking like she doesn't know anything.
[ It was, and would still be, easy to say that it's just her lying, trying to manipulate her into not attacking... but Rose, for all her ignorance, never mentioned the Beta Kindergarten in her last form. She's never shown any sign of knowing where Jasper came from, or of it occurring to her for the first time. Jasper's just always assumed the fact that she's from earth was understood and unstated, but somehow, hearing her say the words and still acting like this was their first meeting, not the fifth—
It feels off. She doesn't know why, and she doesn't know what it means, and outside of brute force she doesn't know how to make Rose start making sense. ]
I knew she was a liar, but this lie doesn't even benefit her. So why is she still pretending she doesn't know me?!

[ okay, that's... something she can actually shed some light on without breaking confidentiality, which is a relief!! ]
The Professor's machine that he used to take you all here can pull things and people through both space and time - if I had to guess, she's from a point in time where she hadn't met you yet.

[ In a moment, she'll get to the fact that this retroactively explains a lot, but now she's simply caught in the wild impossibility of the idea. ]
You mean she doesn't remember anything. How is that even possible?
no subject
[ Angel sighs, looking at her tablet again. ]
Ask her what year it is, maybe? See what answer she gives you.
no subject
[ Jasper steps forward, her metaphorical hackles raised, but she stops herself. She still wants answers. ]
I know why now. But how? How did some nobody get ahold of power like that? Who did he steal it from?!
no subject
[ That she can also answer! Sort of! ]
One of his colleagues developed it. She made all the technology The Professor uses, basically.

[ ... ]
Have you met him?
