OFFICE HOURS
Got something you want to say to your good friend The Professor's Assistant? Come on in, don't be shy! Her official hours are daylight hours - girl has to sleep? after all, probably - but if you knock on the door at night she'll generally answer. Please just make sure to leave the in-game date and time in the header of your toplevel!

WEEK FIVE, TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Angel. There's something I need to ask you.
no subject
Angel's office is. It's been more organized? Which is to say some things have definitely been thrown around, mostly a few books that are usually near Angel's desk, there's some paper very scattered around, and Angel herself is... well, she's clearly seen better days? She's sitting at her desk, eyes very red, writing furiously in a notebook until, as stated, Della Rushes In. ]
Uh... yes?
no subject
I... I was wondering about the lights.
no subject
[ Do you ever just get caught completely and utterly off-guard and take a while to settle on an emotion to feel because that seems to be about where Angel is at right now. Her voice is also a little scratchy and/or hoarse. ]
Nothing to worry about.
no subject
[ Somewhat tentatively, Della approaches her normal chair. As she does... Anything else look, uh...out of place here? Or anything closer to the desk that she can get a good look at. ]
What happened? Anything...concerning...?
no subject
She might also notice the broken remains of a security camera that have fallen to the ground near the door in the back. ]
Not for you guys. I had a... [ She waves her pen a little. ] disagreement with The Professor. Got kind of... heated.
[ She turns ahead to a blank page in the notebook. ]
You had something to ask me?
no subject
...Well, the lights were the first thing. [ She's actually keeping to basic conversation for now. ] Some of us were worried about what a power surge would do to the facility. Did you say...heated?
no subject
Yeah. It was related to the power surge, actually. Hard to do my job with that kind of thing going on, but... it should be fine now. As long as I'm here, it'd take a lot to break this place.
[ On the paper, however, she's written Remembered A LOT - mask ]
no subject
[ Two questions:
Did you cause it?
Can he still hear us with the camera knocked out? ]
That's reassuring. I'll make sure to tell Therion and the others.
no subject
Probably - not worth risk ]
Yeah. Sorry for the panic, I know... the last thing you guys need is to worry about the facility right now.
no subject
The glowy tattoo stuff? ]
...Yeah, if I'm going to worry about suffocating to death, I'd rather it be once a week rather than full time. [ That's a bit of forced sarcasm. Della doesn't seem too pleased to be saying it. Instead she drops her eyes to some of the notes mentally re-calibrating. ]
no subject
Going to work on it ]
The facility should be fine. It's actually really safe, for a building constructed for underwater murder.
[ And, interestingly- Have you been in that room yourself? ]
no subject
Not yet
Had other things to think about ]
I'll have to take your word for that one... Even though I did learn you can't lie to us.
no subject
Yeah, that's... well, I guess it's the kind of thing I'd lie about if I could, but it's true.
no subject
It sounds about like the kind of rule you'd have. [ ... ] So. Did you know about today's offer in advance?
no subject
I learn about the offers not too long before you guys do.
no subject
Do you know if he can actually do it?
no subject
I mean... with the way the machine works, it wouldn't be too hard to send someone to force your hand on something one way or the other, no.
no subject
no subject
[ Now that's the sound of a girl who's just come into a few Big Regrets herself. ]
But I'm sure he has a plan to figure it out.
no subject
no subject
I think sometimes people don't-
[ She pauses, visibly suddenly annoyed, and puts a hand to her earpiece. ]
He says he'll make it change your personal timeline. Not just create a new split. Or he can just send you wherever in time you need to be to fix it yourself, if you don't trust him.
no subject
...He's listening right now, huh? He's talking to you.
no subject
[ For once, Angel is outwardly and visibly Not Here For This Shit. ]
